Teddy Bear

You know,
you can't go to sleep
without your teddy bear,
he is too cute
with his short fuzzy hair,
and brown button eyes,
that glow with surprise.
His worn faded nose,
and arms in a pose,
and his feet with no toes.
Such a cute teddy bear!

Itsy Bitsy Puppy....

Itsy bitsy puppy
Short and stout
Big brown eyes
To look all about.

Itsy bitsy tail
All kinked down
Little short legs
To get around.

Itsy bitsy teeth
Right in front
But steel jaws
When she barks.

Itsy bitsy puppy
With a heart of gold
She's been a friend
To the young and old.

Dream Away

I wish I could fly high above the ground,
And continue on seeking until I have found
Those pretty, little fairies, dancing in the breeze,
Singing Fairy Folksongs, all in groups of threes.

I wish I could be inside the Land of Unicorns,
Admiring their dazzling, quite beautiful, long horns.
Riding on their backs, I can dream my world behind,
And forget all the hatred, I do not want to find.

I wish I could fall into the Valley of Dinosaurs,
Watching the amazing Pterodactyls soar,
So high above me and my sweet dream,
How I wish these things could become a part of me.

I know I can do this, but only in my dreams,
For when i wake up, these things break at the seams.
I can learn the secret of life while I'm awake,
But fast asleep, in my own small world,
These dreams I'm allowed to make.

Prince & Princess

Once a Stary Night,
Long Ago,
A Fair Prince saw,
Saw a Beautiful Princess

He saw her,
Skin so Soft,
Eyes like the Sunset,
Smile of pearls,
Hair so silky,
He Saw Her,
He Feel so Deep

She saw him,
Skin so Rough,
Eyes So Strong,
Smile of Pearls,
Hair so Soft,
She Saw Him,
She Feel so Deep

Prince,
Princess,

Princess,

Both Feel so Deep,
Deep in Love

Prince & Princess,
Now Together,
Together Forever,
Wed Due to Love

He Saw Her,
She Saw Him,
They Both Feel so Deep

Waterfalls

Your Love is like a mighty Waterfall
It can start as something very small
But in the end it's everything
Flowing to the lake in Spring

Love can be the start of new life
It can cut through our hearts like a knife
Let love shine throught when the feelings right
As the sun cutting through the darkness of night

Suddenly, from a feeling within
I know this Loves grown thin
Does this love mean anything at all?
Or is it just another Waterfall

That Love once felt is shattered in 2
Like the mirror that was the glimmering reflection of You
The waters once warm with life, so true
Are dry with the memories that once sparkled with you

Suddenly the waters part
Another one walks in, an it be that start?
How gentle he is with your love
He seems like an angel, sent from above

O, how the sunlight reflects his hair
His strong arms around you show that the Love is there
His eyes reassuring, that say it all
Eyes that are the color of the waterfall

He kindles the fire of your love in his heart
This is that Love that never has to part
So warm, so protected, in the blanket of time
And words full of emotions when he says, "You're mine"

That Love is like the Waterfall
Flowing into you life, You have it all
With guiding arms, you'll never fall
O Sweet Summerswept Love Waterfall

Wonder

As I lie here looking at the sky
I see your face in the clouds
I wonder what you are doing
I wonder where you are
I wonder if you are thinking of me.

As I sit here looking out the window
I see the cars passing by
I wonder what you are to me
I wonder if you can see me crying
I WONDER

Moonlight

The moon is such a mystery,
Always looking down at me.

When it is dark it lights the way,
and disappears when night turns to day.

The next day it comes again,
It will do this until time ends.

All around the world it does the same,
playing this mystery game.

You ---> Me

I saw you that one, fine day
You seemed so calm and so cool,
Like you had not a care in the world

You laughed and you talked with me,
I saw you happy and sad,
I saw who you were,
Then you had to leave

I saw you again,
On a cold, harsh day...And yet
You still seemed so calm and so cool,
Like you had not a care in the world

You brightened my day,
We talked and we laughed together,
You saw me sad and happy,
You saw who I was,
Then I had to leave

But...
You came with me this time,
You were there the whole time, and
I didn't even realize..
. You were me

Believe It's True

I said I Loved You
and you said it too;
But when you didn't believe me
I thought I was no good for you;
You opened my eyes, heart and soul
with the words you spoke and feelings you made;
I can't believe it's true
but I have fallin in love with you.

Hope

Hope is in your heart
On a bad day always we have hope,
People should always have hope
Everyone everywhere has hope.

Under The Bridge

There was a builder who was paid,
To make a bridge not properly made,
One day a man went under,
And Oh my god! That was a blunder,
Because it fell right on his head,
And in 10 seconds he was dead.

- Emma Horner, age 10

The I that I Know

The I that I know is: smart, intelligent, talented gifted, skilled;
logical, coherent, succinct, fulfilled.
I am the musical, scientific,
capable, terrific,
able, specific
I that I know.
I know the I that I know backwards, forwards, inside, and out,
no matter which way you turn about.
I know the I as well as can be
no one knows what I know better than me.
I am the acrobatic, educated,
irritated, aggravated,
big-mouthed, nosy, little me;
I am a rude, crude,
shrewd, little dude,
and no one is better than me.
I am eloquent, whimsical,
comical, relevant,
defensive, and diverse as can be.
I am poetic as you probably believe,
more than you'll ever conceive.
I happen to have a song in my heart
that anyone can tell unmistakably apart.
It burns with a flame of moral relief
a story beyond the wildest belief,
and what is this song you ask today?
I know it not in any way.
I have a query a question if you will see
I want to know do you know me?
Do you know I like I know I?
Do you know the pain you inflict
on the smart, intelligent,
talented, gifted, skilled;
logical, coherent, succinct, fulfilled, I?

WHY?

I Wonder

I wonder, where do earthworms go?
Do they live in little houses
deep in the ground below?

I wonder about the raindrops,
why do they fall down from the sky?
Did someone tell a sad, sad story
and it caused the clouds to cry?

I wonder about the sun at night,
does it just go to sleep
and turn out its light?

I wonder how the birds can fly
with no motors on their wings?
I wonder if clouds are cotton balls
hung in the sky with strings?

I wonder about the flowers
how do they know when to grow?
I wonder about the rooster
how does he know when to crow?

I wonder about all the animals
and how they got their names?
I wonder how caterpillars can be butterflies
and yet they're both the same?

I wonder about the ocean
where do the waves come from and go?
I wonder how snowflakes get so cold
I’d really like to know.

I wonder if I climbed a mountain top
could I see across the world?
Would someone in China wave to me
some little boy or girl?

I wonder why the world is round,
in my yard the ground is flat?
I wonder why my dog
doesn’t like my neighbor's cat?

I wonder who made colors
for the sky, the flowers, and trees?
I wonder about the buzzing noise
that comes from busy bees.

I wonder about the mountains
how did they get so tall?
I wonder why the trees
have to lose their leaves in fall?

I wonder about the fish
and why they have no legs?
I wonder how do chickens
get into little eggs?

The world is big and wonderful
so full of mystery.
and everything's a wonder
to a little Child like me!

My Angel

On the day that I first held you,
All the wonders I could see,
I knew you were a precious gift
Sent from Heaven unto me!

Each day that I have held you,
My, how you have grown.
Each day you're learning new things,
And doing more on your own.

No longer my tiny baby,
Now my little boy of two,
You’ve changed me in so many ways,
And brought me much joy, too!

Thank you, dear God, for this angel
Who has made me see new love.
I never thought I'd realize
All the miracles he’s made of.

He’s beautiful, and he’s playful,
And as healthy as a horse;
He’s happy, and he’s wonderful,
And quite a "payne", of course!

The Middle Kid

The kids in our family
add up to Three.
There’s the oldest, the baby,
and the middle kid, me.

I’m not very big
and I’m surely not little,
it’s so hard to be
the kid in the middle!

The oldest gets all the new stuff.
I get the hand-me downs.
The baby gets whatever it wants
By screaming awful sounds!

The oldest ONE is perfect.
The baby's adorable, that's true.
I feel like I’m just invisible
Because I’m number Two!

The oldest ONE says,
"I must look cool."
But, no one seems to care
What I wear to school.

When there's work to be done
The oldest ONE whines,
"make the middle kid do it,
I just don't have the time!"

I've got too much homework
and my friend's on the phone.
"I'm not Cinderella,"
the oldest kid moans!

Mom looks at me,
I know what that means.
Dear, be a good middle child,
Would you please help me clean?

A middle child is more responsible
That's why I depend on you.
Is that supposed to make me feel better
that I am number TWO?

I think I'd like to have a turn
At being number ONE!
What would it be like to be the oldest?
It seems they have all the fun!

Before the baby came along
The youngest then was me.
But before I could get used to it
suddenly we were THREE!

So here I am the MIDDLE KID,
Why couldn't we be four?
At least then there would be TWO MIDDLE KIDS
To help to do the chores!
