Daisy Homegrown Verse 5 Daisy

Mustang

I race on
light hooves
like the hurried wind
on a breezy morn.

My mane waves like
a wing on a bird
at flight.

I know the taste
of the sweet
green grass
on the plains.

I know freedom and
fun,
work and worry.

Truly there is
nothing on earth,
beast nor man,
that compares to the wild
mustang.

- Chrissy, age 12

I know

I know,
that in the future faith lies upon me and maybe,
just maybe, it will help me along the troubling road that earth contains.

I know,
that soon I will no longer believe in the sings so beautiful as a wishing
star.

I know,
That what the future has in it for me,
was meant to be.

I know that someday I'll be okay.

My Dear Bunny

I love my little bunny
she's as sweet as honey

she's gets more naughty while she grows up
i think she's going to have little ones
oh i'm so full of luck!

when i'm sad
i go to her and come back glad

so thats my little bunny
as sweet as honey!

The Forbidden Jewelry of Midnight

I found myself one time,
Walking down the road by the beach one midnight.
I looked onto the shining water and thought of you,
Where did you go?
We haven't got anything sent by you for four years.
Now in my memory you are fading away,
Into the beautiful, lovely midnight.

Friends With a Heart

The thing that I want look for most in my friends is heart.
How much heart they have.
I want them to be the way they are at all times,
like picking what they want, not what I want.
They always control me and I don't like it.
I want a friend just the way he or she wants to be and....
with some heart.

Mom

My mom loved me this I know because
she always told me so.
My mom loved me this I know because
she let me go.

My mom loved me this I know because
she always told me so.
My mom loved me this I know because
she promised she would go.
My mom loved me this I know because
now I'm happy now I know.
Now I know what family is because
my mother let me go.
My mother let me go because
she loved me so.

Colorful Rain

In the colorful rain you can hear the colorful thunder as it rains.
When I touch the colorful rain it shows up on my hand.
When you taste the colorful rain it kind of tastes like fruit.
When you see colorful rain it looks like a rainbow but only better.
When you smell colorful rain it smells like fruity bubble gum.
So use all five senses to find colorful rain.

Where were you?

I could not find my sister Suzie.
I looked everywhere even the jacuzzi.
I went to the grocery store.
Then I waited at the Post Office until four.
She wasn't at the mall.
She wasn't in the hall.
She wasn't in the closet.
She wasn't at the bank making a deposit.
She wasn't in Nigeria.
She wasn't in Siberia.
She wasn't in Iran.
She wasn't even in Japan.
I became tired so I went back to my house.
When I got there it was quiet as a mouse.
When suddenly I had a huge surprise.
Suzie was standing there right before my eyes.
"Where in the world have you been?" I asked with a smirk.
"It's Monday, silly, I went to work!"

Friends

Once three girls on the net
Created the best friendship ever yet.
They're with each other through and through
In times of happiness, triumph, sorrow, too.
Even though they may pass away,
Their friendship will live on, forever to stay.
I now wish them forever well,
My best friends, Katie and Kel.
